The club celebrated Burns Night on January 19, 2024.  Members of the BOCNE were joined by 18 members and spouses of the venerable Old Colony Club (founded 1769 in Plymouth MA).  The event was extremely popular and we soon reached our maximum capacity of 56 attendees.

Cocktail hour was followed by a demonstration by Highland Dance Boston.  Following the demonstration, we headed into the dining rooms for the parade of the haggis, address to the haggis, and numerous toasts, speeches and Burns poetry throughout the dinner, as is the Burns tradition.

Following dinner, the Royal Scottish Country Dancers, backed by Tom Pixton on the accordion and Debbie Jarvis on the fiddle, performed a number of dance demonstrations before leading attendees through a series of dances.  The dance floor was packed and everyone had a terrific post-dinner workout!

Esteemed BOCNE Piper Bob Cameron performed throughout the evening.
