The club held its annual Armistice Dinner on November 10, 2023. The after-dinner speech was delivered by our guest of honor, Colonel Matt Churchward RM, the Royal Marines Attaché to the USA, who travelled up from the British Embassy in Washington DC to join us at the event.  We also welcomed VIP guests Dr Peter Abbott OBE, the British Consul General to New England, Lt Cdr Nicolas Breuer, Royal Belgian Navy, and The Revd. Dr Matthew Cadwell, Vicar-in-Charge, Old North Church.

Members of the club attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Old North Church, located in Boston's North End. Revd. Dr Matthew Cadwell conducted a wonderful and moving service, which was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony in Old North's remembrance garden.

Royal British Legion Wreaths were laid by the following individuals:

Consul General Dr Peter Abbott OBE - On behalf of HM Government
Acting Consul General Dina Santos - On behalf of Canadian Govt. & Canadian Armed Forces
Col. Matt Churchward RM - On behalf of the British Armed Forces
Lt Cdr Nicolas Breuer - On behalf of the Royal Belgian Navy and Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Belgium
James Normington - On behalf of the British & Commonwealth Remembrance Project
Simon Boyd - On behalf of The Soldiers Fund
Peter Richardson - On behalf of the British Officers' Club of New England

James Normington piped the Last Post and the Reveille, proving that the next best thing to a Royal Marines Piper is a Yorkshireman with a brass instrument!  Bagpiper Bob Cameron piped everyone to and from the service.
